The Social History of Alcohol and Drugs: An Interdisciplinary Journal (SHAD) is a peer-reviewed international journal publishing high quality, original academic research, reflection essays and reviews in the field of alcohol and drug history. All available back issues (up to 2019) are available on the University of Chicago Press website.
As of January, 2018, SHAD recently appointed three new co-editors in chief:
Professor Nancy Campbell (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute)
Professor David Herzberg (Buffalo – SUNY)
Dr Lucas Richert (University of Wisconsin-Madison)
In 2019, SHAD moved to the University of Chicago Press.
