About the event
Thank you for your interest in the Alcohol and Drugs History Society conference and thank you for your patience as we design a hybrid program for you.
We are pleased to present a very full program. We are featuring 4 keynote speakers, 28 sessions and a variety of social events. We have made efforts to accommodate virtual and live presentations, and hope that you will be able to join us either virtually or in person.

Please be sure to register, even if you are planning to participate virtually. ADHS is proud to support students and under-employed scholars by waiving registration fees, but we ask that you please register so that we can accurately report numbers for our on-going pandemic planning.
Please also remember to purchase or renew your membership. Your membership includes a subscription to SHAD and eligibility for a growing list of prizes.
Below are a number of details to help you plan your participation:
Travel Information
1. Transportation from Airport to Hotel:
Best way to move from the Airport Benito Juarez (AICM) to the hotel is either: Official taxis from terminal to the hotel. These are more expensive and charge $ 25 to $30 USD, depending on the time. Buy a ticket at the office inside the terminal as you exit at international arrivals.
or
Use apps such as UBER or DIDI that are less expensive but sometimes require a longer wait. They generally charge approximately $15 to $25 USD, depending the time. Important: Please don't take any unauthorized vehicles.
2. Hotel:
The conference hotel is the “Hotel Royal Pedregal”. In order to reserve, each participant must email any of the following links:

3. ADHS Travel Guide
The ADHS travel guide includes recommendations, relevant information, and a personalized ADHS TripAdvisor link for more information on those very recommendations.
4. Daily Transportation:
Buses will depart to and from the hotel and UNAM daily. It is important to emphasize the need for punctuality, given no hotel staff will be in charge of reminders.
5. Food:
Breakfast is not included in the hotel rate. Lunch will be provided daily at the UNAM.

7. Funding:
